Watercolour portrait of Olga Kozitska

I had a lot of fun portraying fashion photographer, Olga, as a moon goddess. Each of the animals symbolize values that hold power for her. Being a night owl, she gains her energy once the sun has set and the mystery of the night comes alive. The owl represents her thirst for knowledge, mystery and the unknown. The wolf is a symbol of her love of werewolves (the macabre) and canines in general. The lion is Olga’s spirit animal, because of its courage, power, ferocity and strength. The lion (Leo) is her astrological sign and a symbol of the city of her birth, Lviv, Ukraine, which was named after Leo, the son of the king of Ruthenia.
